...a slug gun? Any info helpful, and thanks in advance. FWIW, I'm leaning on a winter 2008 build if possible, probably in the .45 caliber range with underhammer "technology". False muzzle, barrel foot, the whole Monty.

Are you talking about a bench rest rifle or something for LR shooting from sling/wrist rest/sticks?

Rex Holbrook here in the UK used to make a nice underhammer rifle. It came with a barrel by Martin Tebbs and you could have a selection of traditional British forms of rifling, Whitworth, Henry, Metford, Rigby. Martin's barrels are used by many top international shooters.

I believe i still have a pic somewhere of Rex's underhammer rifle... Quite nice indeed! Will try and find it, and post.

David, I am referring to a bench gun. In the spirit of Billinghurst and such.

The Warner gun from the link above is representative to a point although I won't do a gun quite so beefy at that. I'm looking for about 28" worth of .45 caliber barrel, underhammer and scoped...somewhere between 15 and 20 pounds all up.
