Title: New to LRML
Post by Jim_W on Oct 3rd, 2007, 3:36pm

I am new to the LRML board but know a few of the members.  By way of introduction, I am Jim Westberg and live in Minneapolis where I have owned and operated Muzzleloaders Etcetera Inc for 30 years.   It was Bill Roberts who stimulated my interest in Match Rifles and focused it on them from a broader interest in English sporting guns many years ago.  Bill was a real gentleman and a workman of the highest order.
Nearing retirement now but still have 3 or 4 guns to finish before being able to spend a lot more time with Grandchildren, Ice fishing and Hosta hybridizing.
One of the guns that I need to finish is a large bore British sporting rifle.  To that end, I dug out a bridal blank that Bill Roberts sent me long ago and built a lock around it.  Here it is:

I think Bill would have said it is "OK"

Always good to have a new contributor to the board. I think Bill's enthusiasm stimulated much interest in long range shooting and English rifles.

Good to see you here Jim.  Hosta's huh?

I like the lock at lot.  It looks appropriately strong for a heavy caliber rifle.  What caliber?

With luck I will get to see it whenever I next pass through.

Brent - in Iowa...
