FOR SALE � excellent sound and tight double hammer sidelock 12 bore by T. Stensby of Manchester. Serial No. C435. This company dates from 1804 and is still in existence to this day. Half pistol hand, Jones Rotary Under-lever Action, rebounding locks, 29.5 inch barrels, original black powder Birmingham Proof, choke bored 13/1, later nitro proof for 1.25 oz., 2.75 inch chambers. Barrels appear to have been re-blacked at the time that the Nitro Proof was carried out, Chokes Left .695, Right .705 (as near as I can measure). Perfect mirror like bores.
