Title: Another nipple wrench query!
Post by A._Roads on 12/15/05 at 2:32am

The # 5 pattern Nipple wrench/combination tool  is stated as being smaller than the # 4 pattern, but I haven't been able to find any measurements attributed to these.

I was wondering if anyone here has been able to acurately identify these two patterns (they both come in Sergeants & Privates versions) & if so what the overall comparative sizes are of the shank & arms?

I'm trying to work out which one I have.

Thanks, Adrian.

Adrian

I have half a dozen of these wrenches of different patterns and will try to get around to photographing them and measuring sometime but don't hold your breath !

I am sure the Whitworth Pattern existed but have never seen one.  It will be the same as the others but with smaller diameter worm and tips.

Bill
