Whether this is relevent to the forum I am not too sure but it appeared in my local paper (The Salisbury Journal)under the heading: From Our Files. October 21st 1805. "On Wednesday morning a meeting took place in a field behind the temporary barracks at Musselburgh between Lieutenant Nimmo, of the Berkshire Militia and Lieutenant Blacklock of the Dumfries-shire Militia, when the latter gentleman recieved a shot which wounded both thighs, and having struck a great artery, he almost immediatley expired. Lieutenent Nimmo has absconded."
