Checkering, Rigby Kit
Mar 2nd, 2010 at 2:21am

Finished the rifle last year. Well, three months of part time work and I got the checkering done. Came out pretty good, not easy , but a lot of fun. Measure six times, sweat each cut.

Grey.....Absolutely beautiful!  Rigby, Gibbs, or Holland would have hired you in a heartbeat! Outstanding work on an outstanding rifle. You forgot to show us the picture of the beads of sweat on your forehead as you made the first cut. Grin   Paul

Thanks to Paul and Crank.

And Yes, the first master line you score into the finish really puts you on edge, like > what did I just do!??.

Unfortunalty checkering is normally done AFTER you put the finish on the rifle, so as to not plug the checkering up with finish.  So there is no avoiding that heart attack.

Thanks again.
