The image below shows trophies won by the American rifle team to Dollymount (Ireland) and Wimbledon (England) in 1875.
 

 
The large cup in the middle is the Wimbledon Cup, which was shot for by the US visitors to England, and is still competed for today in the USA. Original course of fire was 30 shots at 1000 yards and the winner was Henry Fulton. More detail on the NRA of America web site.
