Hi to all,i'm italian,some days ago i bought a book about XIX century'guns and rifles.In some chapters it speaks about three tipes of breech loading rifled used by russian army:GREEN ALTERNATION BREECH LOADING PERCUSSION SYSTEM RIFLE mod.1857,GILLE-TRUMMER RIFLE mod.1861 and TERRY-NORMAN INFANTRY RIFLE mod.1866; is there someone that know some informations and can shows  some pictures about this rifles?sorry for my very bad english

The Greene carbine was a capped breech loader of American design used by some British cavalry units during the Crimean War - doubtless the reason why it was subsequently adopted by the Russian army.
 
The British army used them in extremely limited numbers (total ordered was 2000, and were used only by cavalry units - see link below). The original American chambering was in .54, but I think that some may have been later chambered for .577 Enfield cartridges.

The Terry-Norman I believe was a conversion of a Terry-Callisher done by the Tula armoury in Russia.
