I can't see any mention of them in Bailey & Nie's 'English Gunmakers' or Nigel Brown's more recent 'British Gunmakers'. Are you sure they were a gunmaker as opposed to a retailer?

There was in 1895 Mitchell & Co at 50 Market St. who were Athletic Outfitters, Golf Club manufacturers and retailers of fishing tackle. It is possible they also sold guns(?).
