The Long Range Rifles Branch of the MLAGB have posted results of their Asquith Cup competition. This is a tough test of the military rifle enthusiast being an aggregate of 15 shots at 600 yards and 15 shots at 800 yards for muzzle loading Enfield Rifles.
Match report from the long range shoot at Oak Ridge (24/25 March 2016). Competitors traveled from 13 different states, without whom it would not be possible if it weren’t for the dedication of those that enjoy shooting muzzleloaders!
The last events of the year for the Long Range Rifles Branch of the MLAGB are their Rigby Cup and Whitworth Cup competitions. Each competition comprises 3 sighters and 15 shots to count at 600 yards; the Rigby Cup is for any muzzle loading rifle, and the Whitworth Cup for hexagonally bored Whitworth rifles.
The 28th Oak Ridge Long Range Muzzle Loading rifle match was held on the weekend of 27-29 March 2015. The cold weather was braved by 29 competitors, of whom 7 used original rifle. Of the top 5 places 3 were with originals. Shooting was at 200, 300, 600 and 1000 yards.

Open black powder shoot at Thorpe Cloud Rifle Range, Derbyshire, 20-22 June 2014. The competitions run by Nottinghamshire Rifle Association (Black Powder Section) were for muzzle loading patched ball rifle, target rifle and military rifle.

Another great LRML weekend at Oak Ridge, TN. Friday (22 March 2013) started off cold 27 degree and only warmed to about 40 with snow showers in the afternoon. But, that didn’t stop the participants from performing well.
We had virtually dead calm conditions all day Saturday (20 August) at our annual long range regional Creedmoor match held at Grayling Michigan. None of the shooters had ever fired in conditions so perfect that lasted all day.
